I would like to know if some body is working on this issue.
It could be quite nice for the teachers to be able to get all the mp3 files on there local disc instead of correcting on line.

I am not working on this. Well, its blueprinted. I am waiting on a bit of funding for a number of changes, including a central manager for PoodLL submitted files.
The easiest way to do this currently is to use the Moodle assignment with the onlinepoodll assignment submission type. Then you have the option of downloading all the students submissions in one zip file. That is a standard assignment feature, which PoodLL supports.
