Dear Support:

I already enabled in Administration/Site Administration/Plugins/Web Service/ Mobile check box to allow me to connect via Moodle Mobile to our smartphone; but I couldn't save it; because is something wrong with the CSS certificate. Honestly I don't know what should i do in this part.

Please, if someone can advise me in this section, I will appreciate.

Regards.

Nancy S.

It is recommended to enable HTTPS with a valid certificate. The Moodle app will always try to use a secured connection first.

Hello Nancy

I think you have CSS and SSL certificates mixed up. CSS is used to style web applications like Moodle. The field you are using would allow you to customise the look and feel (like colors, font sizes etc) of your Moodle mobile app.

SSL or secure socket layer certificates allow you to create a secure browser environment through the use of trusted Public/Private key pairs.  For more information please have a look here http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSL

You will need to purchase SSL certificates from a vendor like InstantSSL or Namecheap because they need to originate from a trusted party like Verisign or Comodo.

What is it that you are trying to achieve?

Hi Nancy,

that information is just informative, you should be able to connect using the mobile app via HTTP

Cheers, Juan
