I want to create dashboard plugin, when somebody install the plugin it's automatically create a menu (Name-Dashboard) and create page. When click on dashboard menu link go on dashboard page.
I am confuse about plugin type selection. Which plugin category suitable for this, I mean Local plugin, Blocks etc.
You are developing a plugin to create a new functionality who dont match with any category of plugin existing.
Thereby, you need put your new plugin in "local plugin".

PS: I'm not a expert, but I created some plugins to add new pages to moodle using this plugin category.
