Deb, GoToMeeting uses WMV G2M3 / G2M4, now to explain a bit further, there are 2 WMV formats in use, one is theirs propriety and one is standard that comes with Windows, also called WMV. now most of the video convertors can read the standard WMV format without issue, but will not read GoToMeeting's WMV out of the box, so what you have to do is, actually using their own codec, convert their propriety WMV into standard WMV, and from their, you can pretty much use some other third party video convertor to convert the standard WMV into MP4, FLV or whatever applies - generally speaking, for the sake of maximum compatibility, it would be MP4 (H.264 video and AC3 Audio codes) you'll IDEALLY be converting your files into.
You have to have GoToMeeting codec installed, and in their installation directory you'll find their trans-coder executable file, that is what actually converts the standard WMV into their propriety WMV format.
You'll be copying their executable files into a separate folder and using command prompt the conversion will be done, converting the video from their propriety WMV to standard WMV format, and then you can use that converted WMV and reconvert into format of your desire (Like MP4 or FLV).
also, because this conversion will not give any visual clues of what's happening in the background, so you have to take some manual steps towards knowing that the convertor is actually running (like Windows Task manager). Also, because its a video conversion, so high power CPU and some 4GB and above RAM is required, and as per time is concerned, you can expect an hour long video in GoToMeeting format to easily take 25-35 minutes.
and finally, and most importantly for question that goes a bit off topic than the original topic, open a new forum post as its easy to find questions by topic headers for those who may be looking for a similar solution.
