That wasn't the case for me. I did it twice (1 windows and 1 mac) but i had to be really patient.

the program in no time. According to recent
reviews in Swedish Internet journals Opera has
a lot of qualities but comes short in comparison
with Firefox.
Thanks, never turn down freebies. Opera definitely has been influenced by firefox and improved it's interface no end

I've tried the live cd version and it's a very smooth beginner's linux, and the first linux I've used that works with the cheap and nasty win-modem in my laptop!
Not for open source purists, though!
