I cannot get the math notation to run on my Moodle installation.
I am running v1.5.2 on a Linux-based server with Apache, MySql, PHP, and Perl v-5.6.1.
I activated the two filters (TeX and Algebra). I made sure the mimetex files all have full permissions (777).
However, I do not get any other than "Undetermined error:" whenever I try to write any math notation.
Are there things that need to be done in addition to activating the filters?

Make sure you have error logging enabled in php.ini (note that you need to restart Apache if you change anything), try displaying the notation again and then check your error logs. Many possible errors will not be displayed as they are 'lost' in routines that return images, but will still appear in the error logs.
