I would like to be able to disable the new user account registration capability. We will provide the user name and password to each student. Can you tell be if you can and if so, how to accomplish the new user account disable?

and what about new Moodle 2.0? How can I forbid user registration?
Users will register using another software in my portal and then log-in automagically in Moodle; but I need absolutely to avoid any kind of user registration directly within Moodle, and I can't find where these settings are in new Moodle.
