Hi, I'm new user and I need to use groups.  The groups are already ok, with all their members in their respective groups.  It's ok.   What I need is this:

  • each member of the group can edit (or see) the material posted by the other member or;
  • the participants of the group can edit an unique material of the group;

Is this possible?

Hi Ricardo - You've gotten farther with Groups than we did.  I wonder if you might be able to help us, please? 

We have the names of our groups made  smile

We have our students built & enrolled   smile

I can even adds students to a group   smile

However, EVERY student I add, gets put into the first group on the list - no matter which group I've chosen.   sad  tried multiple times with no luck angry

I feel like we're probably missing somethign obvious  blush

Your help, or anyone's help would be very much appreciated!  kiss

I have also been learning about groups, but my problem was thinking that the teacher also had to be added to a group!  This, of course is not true.  Teachers are not required to have membership in groups since they are over all groups (and a user cannot be a member of more than one group at a time).  But getting back to your post, this is what I think you said:

1) You have enrolled all your students.  These should be showing up in the left column.
2) You have created groups.  These should be showing up in the center column.
3) When you prepare to add your students to the group, you click to select the student name (or multiple), you click to select the group name, then you click "add selected students to group"

And your students wind up in a group you did not have selected? 

I am wondering if somehow you are losing your selection in the center column.  The first group is selected by default.  Could that be causing your problem?
