Certainty Based Marking

I've been asked if Moodle supports CBM. To be honest, I don't know anything about it. The only thing I could find is the page Using_certainty-based_marking in the docs. However, this seems to be more a general discussion of CBM.

How does one (assuming you can) actually set up CBM in Moodle?

In the quiz settings:

How questions behave: Deferred feedback with CMB

(or Immediate feedback with CBM)

Don't do it, Howard! Don't do it! Your confidence will be shattered for the rest of the day.

I just earned a whole 10 points on that stinking quiz. The more certain you are, the worse you do.

It is, though, a good demonstration of CBM.

Mary, in America, where we speak proper English, no one ever gets sat beside someone. They are *put* or told to sit. And the psychology of the Star Trek question is just down right mean. 愤怒

It's not downright mean at all! It is based on an inappropriate reverence for a dead language! It's important to pointedly split infinitives wherever possible in order to clearly make the point. (And it's so sad you are not coming to Dublin...)

Well, I got the question wrong again. I said it was sexist, and you gave me a grammar lesson. Sneaky!

May is a much nicer time to be in Dublin than February. I may actually be on your side of the ocean in May visiting my mom. But not when Moot is happening.

In the nicest way - I don't care 微笑

Somebody asked me if it was possible and I've told them it is and how to switch it on. Job done. Coffee time 大笑 大笑

Howard, hi

I could be wrong, I trust Tim will correct me if I am.

The way I see it is like this:

If I were asked about CBM and the use of the quiz in moodle, I would say that the use of CBM needs to be used in conjunction with this at all times:

And I shall let you work the rest out 微笑  hint: searching net in another tab would enable me to be 100% certain!
