We have a successful Gmail and Google Apps integration, but one serious shortcoming is that passwords are not synching across Moodle and Google. Because of the integration all attempts at changing a user's password in any Google product lead back to the Moodle change password page, but changing the password in Moodle does not change it in Google. As a result our users are unable to configure IMAP email access on their mobile devices (or desktop email clients such as Outlook, MacMail, etc.). As an admin I can log in to Google Apps and change their Google password for them, but obviously this is a less than ideal solution.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is this expected behavior or is something not working properly in my integration? Has anyone developed a solution for this?
