On windows it's real easy , I think ... It's been a while
You just download the ffmpeg from the page linked to in the document . Then you click the checkboxes in the poodll filter settings
Linux is a bit trickier because all the different flavors of it affect which version of ffmpeg you can use. And you are sometimes safer to, gulp, compile it yourself
If you ask him to download it and put in the poodll filter folder, then as long as he got the right ffmpeg he shouldn't have to do any more
