Terms & Conditions

We want to post our T&C on the site (Moodle 2.8).  They cover three pages, so a pop-up or download is probably required.  As they state that purchase of a course implies they have accepted the conditions, I want them to be able to see them at the earliest opportunity.

Where do you think the best place is to place them?  Ideally I need a new label on the Home page but there doesn't seem to be an option for that.  Any ideas welcome.

Howard has pointed you in the right place, but are three pages of terms and conditions reasonable? It seems an excessive amount to me as I would be confident that 99.99 per cent of users will say yeah, yeah yeah and click agree*.  Also if it is a legal issue I am not confident it would stand up in law. Might it not be better to have a shorter agreement and then have a mandatory short course with a quiz or two to ensure people have actually understood the terms and conditions.

*(I would probably read them, but then I am the type of person who reads software licenses which is probably not normal)

Thanks Marcus.  I know, 'Check the box to signify you have read the terms and conditions' has led to the most frequent lie of all time.

I am a new Moodler and am in the process of setting up my site. Although I find much of it intuitive, I am reading a lot and watching videos. There is one thing I can't seem to find out anywhere. I also want to include terms and conditions, but I have a lot of other info that I want to add to drop down menus on my front page. I was able to figure out how to add menu items, and I understand how to add the links to the menu items, but what I can't figure out is how to create a simple text page that I can link the menu item to. Is there a way to do this? I just want an html pages that uses my theme that will allow me ot format the entire page the way I want to. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Rina
