I'm struggling with a slow SCORM package that fails to commit data to the database on time. I can fix its behaviour using the new "Auto-commit" feature in Moodle 2.8, but my main production site is at 2.6.3 at the moment, possibly with a view to an upgrade to 2.6.8, but no higher until summer.
I've been trying to re-use certain packages (produced with iSpring Presenter) that worked OK under Moodle 1.9 but now, in this much newer Moodle, they just fail to record scores properly. Multiple attempts are not recorded; instead of highest score, the activity shows the latest one, which defeats the purpose of the exercise - revisiting it leads to people registering lower scores..
I've tried various combinations of "Force completed" and "Force new attempt" settings, but no luck.
Is there anything I can do to somehow mimick the push effect of Moodle 2'8's "auto-commit" feature?
I'd be grateful for any suggestions.
