Auto-commit equivalent for Moodle 2.6?

Auto-commit equivalent for Moodle 2.6?

I'm struggling with a slow SCORM package that fails to commit data to the database on time. I can fix its behaviour using the new "Auto-commit" feature in Moodle 2.8, but my main production site is at 2.6.3 at the moment, possibly with a view to an upgrade to 2.6.8, but no higher until summer.

I've been trying to re-use certain packages (produced with iSpring Presenter) that worked OK under Moodle 1.9 but now, in this much newer Moodle, they just fail to record scores properly. Multiple attempts are not recorded; instead of highest score, the activity shows the latest one, which defeats the purpose of the exercise - revisiting it leads to people registering lower scores..

I've tried various combinations of "Force completed" and "Force new attempt" settings, but no luck.

Is there anything I can do to somehow mimick the push effect of Moodle 2'8's "auto-commit" feature?

I'd be grateful for any suggestions.

Przemek

Judging by the number of open and unresolved issues in the Tracker, which I'm collating under this link

http://tinyurl.com/pt8lus9

SCORM-based grading seems not very stable at the moment? I was a lucky user under Moodle 1.9 for a couple of years..

That search is not correct. It contains bugs and improvement/feature requests, it also contains items not actually related to SCORM and isn't confined to the "MDL" project within Jira.

there are 49 open issues classified as "bugs" in the tracker related to SCORM - this is very low compared to the state we were in back in 1.9 and is a lot lower than many other core Moodle components.

Here are some better searches:

All non-closed SCORM tracker issues (86)

I welcome anyone who can help to knock that bug count down even further.
