I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. My name is Daniel and I've been a member of the forums since January of 2013, but I consider myself a member of the community since August of 2014 because that's when I set up a new Moodle system, started learning a lot about it, and started appreciating it. I'm still learning, but like you, I've become a big fan of Moodle (a Moodler)!
I love this system. We use it for training where I work and, for a decade, we were running an older version on an old server (with lower specs) until finally the server said, "it's been real." So now I have a brand new server with high-end specs and the latest version of Moodle. The most noticeable thing is that it's newer looking and clean - not awash with links and data. I've been learning more about the system, leveraging more features, making tweaks along the way, and maintaining a file of those tweaks for future reference. It's actually been a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to becoming an expert on it. There's even a Moodle certification I saw so I might give that a shot down the road.
One of the best things for me is the quiz module. We were uploading SCORM-compliant quizzes, made with Adobe Captivate, and that was working for a while, but eventually there were problems - quizzes that would sometimes not load, quizzes that automatically completed the rest of the quiz after answering question 1, or grades that were mis-recorded. This was originally why I signed up on the forums. So there was some manual work when a new hire took a quiz. Then I started playing with Moodle's quiz module and I was really impressed. Now I'm moving us over to that. I love this system and I'm glad to be a Moodler.
