Sorry For how basic this probably is but I am trying to create new pages (contact us, Course directory etc..) and i am following all instructions i have found but when i get to the instruction add a resource then click add a page, i cannot find this option. If anyone could assist i would much appreciate it. I want a site with contact, and a course directory that anyone can access, then obviously if they want to enrol then they must register.

Hello there - which instructions have you found? "Add a resource" is an old instruction from an earlier version. Perhaps the documentation Front page FAQ might help and more specifically the question How can I add a page to the front page?

This is so silly can't figure it out, you were right i was looking at old instructions, I've looked at the ones you linked and i seem to be missing/can't find the "main menu block" -- i have administration, navigation thats it when i click to add a block that option is not there (see below)

ok so to update have found main menu block in list .....site administration > plugins> Blocks .... And there is is, but it doesn't display on add block list as stated above, so i assume this is a theme issue, i am using saga (purchased).
How do i make this appear on list or add to home, (it is already set as visible on this list)
It's not displaying in your list because it is already on your front page - look at that screenshot and it shows there is 1 instance of the main menu -that will be on the front page. it is possible your theme is not showing it, so how about you change your theme and then see if the main menu block is visible?

I changed the theme to anomaly and went to home and lone behold there it is so it is a theme issue then ..
So is there a way round this ?
Do i have to keep changing theme?

Hi Mary,
So i have contacted author he has been on site and has told me to add $CFG->defaulthomepage = '1'; To the config file.
So i have added it (see Above ^)
This still hasn't fixed it i still have no main menu block (to add a resource)
But i have notice that on the navigation when i click "my home" the nav shows "my home>my courses" is this normal
