Login fields not appearing on Frontpage

Login fields not appearing on Frontpage

We're running 2.7.3 with a 'Clean' theme.

I would like the login fields to appear on the Front page. Currently there is only the summary, the course categories, and the calendar. You have to scroll down to the bottom, hit 'Log in' link, and then be taken to a new page with the login fields. Not very user friendly.

It seems like such a simple thing but I've spent hours trying to find a solution. I don't see it as an option in drop-down menu under 'Front page settings'. I also tried adding a block but there is no Login Block though I did read about that in some documentation.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Thank you,

Amir

Amir,

log-in as admin, then from Administration block, click "TURN EDITING ON",

"ADD A BLOCK" block will appear, choose log-in from there, and you'll have log-in block on front page, drag/adjust it accordingly.

I tried that but I don't see the log-in block in the 'Add a Block' drop-down.

I have even checked under 'Plug-ins' -> 'Blocks' -> 'Manage blocks' and the login block is installed, unlocked, and visible but used 0 instances.

I don't get why I don't see it in the drop-down. Is it possible that it's a bug? Does anyone have the same problem?
