Sorry if this has already been answered before.  I've unzipped all the necessary files of v2.0.8 of the HotPot module to my Moodle installation, but when I log in as admin and go to configuration, Moodle doesn't respond at all to the existence of the new module.

Hi Rich,
if you have Moodle 1.4.x, it sounds as if you may not have moved the language files from "mod/hotpot/lang/en" to "lang/en".

If you have Moodle 1.5.x, you will need to enable the HotPot module on the "Administration -> Configuration -> Modules" page.

Sometimes it takes a few clicks on the admin pages before the updating process kicks in. The page that actually detects whether an update is necessary or not is "admin/index.php", so you could also try typing the URL for "admin/index.php" on your Moodle site directly into your browser.

Hope this helps. Please let us know how you get on smile

regards
Gordon
