Assignment: Due Date and Time

Assignment: Due Date and Time

Hi Everyone!

In an Assignment, is there a way to turn off / hide just the time portion of the Due Date?  We work at a high school and students turn their work in during class time, which is different for each section of students.

Our solution has been to change the time to midnight and tell students to ignore the time and that assignments are due that day in class. . . But it would be better if it wouldn't display at all - as it shows up in the Upcoming Events block and when students click on the assignment.

Thanks!

Don't know it this will work or not... never bothered me in the past as I have never used the Moodle Due Date,  I have always included the due date on all assignments. Across the top, in LARGER letters, and half the time, they still miss it...

Disable the Due Date and enable the cut off date. That might work

Thanks so much for the suggestion!   I tried it, but with just the cut off date selected. . . the assignment does not appear as an event in the Calendar.  Only enabling a Due Date on the assignment will automatically put it in the Calendar.  Teachers really like that automatic feature.

I wonder if you should consider using groups?  I think that you can set different times for different groups.  I have used groups, but have never given different times.  Maybe someone else will know for sure.
