Importing audio from a Mac

I am having trouble importing audio from a remote Apple laptop on to my Moodle pages on the server at my school.  Is there a trick?  I have Audacity, iTunes and various audio programs, but nothing seems to work.  Any suggestions?

Audacity works fine, but Flash players (such as the one used in Moodle) support only a very limited subset of the possible values for MP3 recording parameters.

Have a look at our tutorial on using Audacity with Moodle.

The tutorial assumes voice-quality audio, by the way (I just noticed that you are a musician). For music, you may want to use a higher sample rate and bit rate. As long as you set the Audacity project sample rate to a multiple of 11025 (22050, 44100), it should work fine. For the MP3 bit rate, use the smallest setting that gives you acceptable audio quality.

The Audacity tutorial has moved to a new location.

I just got a message from someone who was looking for it, so I thought I'd post the updated URL here.
