I made a theme called 'Lazydaisy' that has the Bootstrap 2.3.2 Carousel slider coded into it, to test out the idea of being able to have a theme carry some elements that can act like a plugin to your main theme. You can download it HERE then you can compare it to your version of the Carousel.
