Hey there, I've recently released the mapping-moodle plugin and thought you might be interested to hear what it's about.

In short, it is a DeepaMehta 4 plugin which allows you and your students to start collaborative mapping of moodle courses and their working materials. And with "mapping" we mean free placement of items on an infinite canvas, to create stable (geometry-wise), personal and structured visualizations (so called "Topicmaps") which act as visual indexes across all your moodle courses and their contents. The result for the whole course, faculity, institution is in one big topical network spanning across topics and courses (bringing in lots of other functionality).

The plugin was developed as an it-component of the academic reform project "eduzen" at the technical university berlin.

If you're interested in setting up a pilot user study in your faculty or school please do not hesitate to get in touch with us, we will be glad to help you to get this up and running.

You can find some details on it's functionality and the documentation of our current research questions in the wiki at http://docs.moodle.org/dev/TopicmapsWithMoodle

If you just want to have a quick "read only look" (=without access to all the file contents and working material-details, but just with a look at various Topicmaps) visit our application running at http://notizen.eduzen.tu-berlin.de/topicmap/78055

All the best + Cheers!
