FOrum to support many super-topics

Hi all

I have searched through the forum and in the general Internet, but I was not able to find out an answer.

I'm looking for a plugin to deploy forums with fixed super-topics in which users can open their discussions, with features similar to the ones on this Moodle site.

This can be the structure:

Forum

- Fixed Super Topic 1

    - User initiated discussion 1

    - User initiated discussion 2

- Fixed Super Topic 2

    - User initiated discussion 1

    - User initiated discussion 2

Do you have any idea on how can this be achieved?

Thanks for your attention

Best regars

Hi Stefano,

Is this post only to do with 'fourms' or courses in general?

Also, please look at MDL-372 for code that may help in writing a plugin as given your search I would not think one exists.

I believe the forum on the moodle sites is not actually 1 forum, but a single course which contains the other individual forums.

Looking at the structure you propose that would seem to suit what you want to achieve.

Create a single course (linked from wherever you wanted to put the forum, possibly using meta-course enrolments to ensure the users are enrolled correclty) Then add each of the 'super topics' as separate forums
