I've been working on a custom module for moodle that handles document version control, a bit like a groupware tool, and I'd like to integrate moodle's messaging systems into my application pages.
Previously, I've been using the who is online code, and then linking names from that list to a chat sessions, but I'd like to integrate the main moodle messagin system into my applicaiton pages without resorting to frames and the like.
Does anyone have any advice here? all I really need is a list of who's online, and the facility top launch a chat with them by clicking on their names.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
