Hi,

I would like to catch the event of closing the popup window.

Where can I add the code, for example I will want to alert something when the user close the popup window of the activity.

take a look at the patch I have in MDL-43247 - it might give you some clues.... it may also provide the functionality you might be looking for. I'm hoping to get that into Moodle core in the next couple of weeks.
