2.5.1 - trying to upload pages of my seminar.

I am trying to upload pages of a course on Moodle, and the system is "requiring" me to add something to the section called "content" before I can move on. I have nothing to add there. I am really frustrated. This is not the way it was a few months ago. What is going on?

I also can't seem to save a screenshot  on this posting. I can pate it to the posting, but then it is not there after I post it. So frustrating.

This is so FRUSTRATING!!!  I cannot figure out what on earth Moodle is "requiring" of me in that section before I am allowed to post the damned section! They are not clear on how I am to placate the system to get it to work, and I guess I just have to figure it out? It was not like this a few months ago...did someone try to "improve" the system by requiring of us things we don't want on our seminar?

Hello there. First of all, if you are seeing "content" then you are probably trying to add a Moodle "page" resource -see here Page And in the content section it is expecting you to type content, text, images whatever. If you simply want to upload resources you have made offline (such as Word docs) then you use the "add an activity or resource>File"  File option. Does that help at all?

I've recently moved to 2.5 and have run into confusions - especially with the resource called 'Page' - sounds like one thing, is actually something else.

Just type something like 'page test' into the section, save, and see what you've done. I use the 'snipping tool' (Windows/accesories) to take screenshots, save them as a jpeg to the desktop, and add them to a post that way.

If you want to insert them into a particular place in the text, click on the lefthand icon - Toolbar Toggle - and use  'insert/edit image'
