1.5+ Not complete support of greek

In the new 1.5+ version greek language is not supported completely.

I don't see a complete greek enviroment in the pages of the lessons, for example the 'continue' button is in english when it should be in greek. Another example is the 'Please check your answer' button which is also in english when it should be in greek.

Is there something I can do to fix this? Did something went wrong with the installation? Should I expect a new and improved version which will support an entirely greek enviroment?

Hello Panayiotis και καλησπέρα... smile

All those omissions exist because at this time the Greek language pack is not being actively maintained. The "obvious" candidate to do that would be, umm, me smile, but unless the time machine goes into commercial production very soon there's no way I can work on code and language at the same time.

You can do it yourself though, and help all the Greek Moodle users at the same time! If you visit your admininstration menu, "Διαχείριση -> Διαμόρφωση -> Γλώσσα" you 'll find an "Edit strings" option that allows you to edit your language files from within Moodle.

After editing the language files, it would be very nice if you can send them back to us so we can include them in the greek language pack. In that case, you would probably want to contact the translation coordinator, Koen Roggemans, at translations@moodle.org for tips and instructions. He knows that stuff better than anyone else. approve

Also, you will find that it's better if you discuss issues like this one over at the Languages forum. That way, your posts will be read by people who are interested specifically in Moodle's language packs and you will get a better response rate.

If there is any matter that you need help on, please give me a private message on moodle.org or send me an email.

Hi, Koen here,

It would be great if you or a team you could gatter around the greek translation could pick up and go on. But take care: it could become an addiction to keep the language pack as complete as possible big grin
A not to underestimate advantage of translating the software and the helpfiles, is you will be a Moodle expert in no time, because you've actualy read all the help files in a very profond way. That will on the other hand save you a lot of time in finding out how Moodle works and wat is possible with the package.cool

I we could convince you and you need any help to get started, just ring a bell.
(Sorry, no beautifull Greek letters from me...)
