Drag and Drop functionality not working

Hi I have installed the Essential theme on my Moodle site 2.6 (Build: 20131118). Since the move to the essential theme the drag and drop (files from local computer to moodle site) isn't working. When I try to add a file from my local machine to moodle it stats to download via the browser.

I still have the ability to move block via drag and drop so I am stumped on what the issue is!!! 

Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi Fergal,

Because the up and down arrows are still showing in the sections this indicates that the JavaScript is broken.  If it runs to successful completion then they disappear.  This means that the drag and drop functionality will not work etc. Even though you think it is, the screen cast shows it is not actually working, just moving the icon around.  As you are using Chrome, turn on developer tools (F12), go to the console tab and refresh the page, that should state what the error is.  Print screen and post here.  You could also try performing a 'Purge All Caches', the Moodle Themes equivalent of 'Have you tried turning it off and on again.'.

Thanks for your reply. I was aware that the drag and drop wasn't working. The screencast was to show what was going on, just to reinforce what I was saying. I have purged all caches and the problem still exists.

Hi Fergal,

Thanks for the screen shot.  I'm sure I've seen the error before and yes, it will cause the problem.  Please can you double check that you are running the right version of the Essential theme for M2.6.  Could you post the details of Essential's version.php file please.

Hi Fergal,

Thanks for the information, really useful, as I can see that it's 2.6.1 of the theme which does depend on M2.6 but the bootstrapbase version is M2.5.  On the plugins DB the latest version is 2.6.2 - https://moodle.org/plugins/pluginversions.php?plugin=theme_essential - therefore, please could you upgrade to that and see if the problem is eliminated.

Yes was hoping to get this problem fixed before upgrading to the latest theme release. I will upgrade this evening and let you know how if this eradicates the problem.

Just upgraded the theme plugin and hey presto the drag and drop functionality is also fixed.
