I cannot solve this problem: I can't find the 'add a block' block both in the front page and courses even if I turn the editing on. May be something wrong in the configuration?
Anyone can help me please?

I'm an admin that is why it seems to me so strange.

The block "Add a Block” came back to us after upgrading (in our case: to 2.5.7). So I advice you trying to upgrade.
