We are using Moodle - 1.9.9. Students have submitted their assignments. But the main problem occurs when teacher downloaded all the assignments, they are not able to identify owner of the assignment,as students detail are not included in the assignment. Is there any way so that I can include students detail in assignment automatically when they upload the assignment (instead of entering it manually)

More recent versions of Moodle label files when they are mass downloaded from an assignment. In 1.9, the best I've ever figured out is that the assignment files are stored in Files > moddata>assignment>and then in a folder named for the assignment id number.
You find the assignment id number by mousing over the link to the assignment. http://bluejay.cty.jhu.edu/mod/assignment/view.php?id=278909 id number is 278909
Inside the 278909 folder in assignments are folders named for each user's Moodle ID number.
You can then go to the participant list and manually mouse over each student's name to get a link like this.
http://bluejay.cty.jhu.edu/user/view.php?id=32901&course=1619 The id=32901 is the Moodle ID of the student.
Now you can match the 32901 assignment folder to the student in this way.
The much easier workaround we use is to have students name their files in a uniform way: Assignment1BenReynolds.doc This works for students as young as 3rd grade.
