Repositories and upload of files via ftp

Hi,

I'm on version 2.5, and after enabling the server files and created a folder called repository-larger files in moodledata server, I've gone to "configuration for file system repository", clicked on

Allow admins to add a file system repository instance to a course (configurable only by admins)

When I next try to create a repository instance, and having previously created the folder in the directory, I click on save and nothing happens.
Have you any idea why?
Please see attached pictures.
Thank you very much,
Eva

One thing to check is to make sure that the web server user is the owner of the directory. Typically in Linux this will be a user named apache, or www-data. If you created the directories as your ftp user, it will be the owner instead of the web server user.

Thanks a lot for your answer, I seem to have already fixed it. The funny thing now is, I can see the file in Moodle but, not the different things I've uploaded, I don't understand why?

Hugs,

Eva
