When I create advanced forums, I always make subscription optional. I don't recall subscribing to any of these, so why do I always get copies of every single post any student makes? How can I stop that? Thanks.

Kenneth,
Go to your profile and change the subscription to No: do not add subscriptions then go to the course forums and unsubscribe. You will have to do the unsubscription on any already created manually. That should work.
