It seems that someone didn't have anything better to do but change the admin and manager passwords at demo.moodle.net.
Thanks Guillermo for mentioning the problem. Hopefully it's all fixed now (MDLSITE-2508).

Great! Well, small things that we sometimes overlook
I assumed that everything would be back to normal at the hour, but as I was already leaving, I didn't wait for the reset time. What I did consider was that if someone comes in one minute after the site is reset and changes the passwords, everyone will have to wait for an hour before being able to log in
I do have my own Moodle installations in my computer, but in many occasions my server is configured to a different document root directory and that is why I use the demo site when I need to check something before answering a question at the forums.
So maybe the change password capability could be disabled for the admin?
