Dear moodlers

I would like to make a first-come, first-serviced sign-up list for students to present talks: I have a fixed stock of topics, one for each student. I would like to set up a sign-up list, so that once a student chooses a topic, it is theirs and becomes unavailable to other students.I haven't been able to find a way to do this in moodle. I'm sure I must be missing something - any ideas?

How about the Choice activity and limiting the number for each topic to 1?

Thanks Mary, that worked perfectly - I didn't realise the Choice activity was flexible enough for this
