Hi Michael,

Thanks for this Nice Block !!!

It would be great if Following Features will be there

1] Referring this Student can see 'Overview of students' of other Student/ other Group

2] i used 'Finished' for Quiz (I think 'Attempt' is not perfect for Quiz)

Can i add one more criteria for Quiz

"Pass Mark"

e.g. Finished Quiz with above 40% will be counted otherwise it will be ignored

Quiz:

Expected byHelp with What expected by means?
Day  Month  Year  Hour  Minute
ActionHelp with What actions can be monitored?Finished with Minimum 40%

Hi, Ravi.

It is possible to allow students to see the Overview page. This is controlled by permissions which can be overridden for a course. Go to Course administration > Users > Permissions and search for block/progress:overview. If you are wanting to allow students in groups to see the results of students outside their group, then you can give them moodle/site:accessallgroups at the course level, and I wouldn't recommend that.

There is already the possibility to set a pass mark for assignments and quizzes. This is done in the Gradebook. See...

http://docs.moodle.org/25/en/Grade_items#Activity-based_grade_items

...and once a "grade to pass" is set, you will see the option for completion based on passing.

Hi, Ravi.

There are two permissions affecting this. One is the one to allow students to see the overview. That is a permission implemented by the Progress Bar itself. The other is the permission to allow students to see all groups. This is set at the course level and applied consistently throughout Moodle. The main problem is that once you allow that group permission for students, it would affect all activities in your course. That is why I wouldn't recommend it. Some people would consider that a security issue.

As for adding instructions for the Progress Bar... Blocks don't really accommodate descriptions in the same way as activities/resources. There is a short initial string that encourages users to mouse-over the bar for more information. You could edit that string if you wanted to add information beyond that. Hopefully it is intuitive enough to use without too much instruction.
