I've installed Moodle 1.4.3 on my hosted webserver using Fantastico. I've done this before on this same server and installed Moodle in the root. When I did that, Moodle worked perfect. I would simply go to my domain name (www.bibleaccess.com) and Moodle would be there.
After doing a bunch of testing, I decided to install drupal in the root, and Moodle in a subdirectory. Drupal is working fine. PHP seems to be working fine. I can do a phpinfo() and get a full report on my system.
I specified for Moodle to be in www.bibleaccess.com/biblestudy
Unfortunately, all I get is a blank screen when I try to bring Moodle up at that location.
I've looked at the config.php - and it looks perfect - it was done by Fantastico of course. I've even tried to modify the config-dist.php and save it as config.php - and then execute it. No luck.
The server's PHP version is 4.3.9 and MySQL version is 4.0.23-standard.
Again, I'm not getting any error messages - just complete blanks.
Please help.
David.
Do you have access to the web server logs? If so - you might well find error messages there. That would help *lots*!
Failing that - I would double-triple check your config.php settings as this is the most likely problem - attach it here if in doubt and we will have a look. Other possibilities, are permission problems (can the web server read from the web site directories and write to the moodledata directory) and, simply, a broken installation - incomplete upload etc.
