I tried to do a very quick test comparing EBS with S3 (mounted using TNTDrive) for the moodledata, and as been predicted, the speed is significantly different. Accessing mounted S3 is very slow.
I just come across zadara storage (http://www.zadarastorage.com/) and wondering whether this can be another alternative? Is there anyone out there tried this solution and successfully creating elastic moodle?
