Hi, I've been following this guide (http://blog.mediaagility.com/bid/304913/Reference-Architecture-Auto-scaling-Moodle-deployment-on-AWS) to implement my arquitecture, I think it is very helpfull and complete, I'm not using all what it says but the minimum resources for my tests, AutoScaling (1 availability zone), RDS, Load Balancer, and s3fs for moodledata. The only issue is that it seems that is a much slower than using a single instance, ¿What could be happening? when I navigate the platform, or an e-learning course, it is much slower than using a single instance for all moodle implementation. With this architecture I thought the performance would increase.
The worst issue is that after I upload a SCORM package of 43MB and updating settings, it remains loading for some time until this message appeared: Timed out while waiting for session lock.
Wait for your current requests to finish and try again later.
EC2 instance: t1.micro (also I tried with m1.small)
Apache 2.0, Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS,
Mysql 5.6.12 (RDS)
How can I optimize performance, and why I can't upload those files?
