I was using Moodle 2.3.3 and everything was working pretty well. I wanted to upgrade to stay with the latest supported version so I am now running Moodle 2.5.1. The trouble is between 2.3.3 and 2.5 the mobile theme cut down how the course names display after you log in. Has anyone else had this issue or know how to fix it? Please see the picture attached.
I am currently running on Windows Server 2003 (not by choice but have to due to resources available.)
Downloaded the Moodle as an installation package at 2.3.2.
I am assuming the issue is somewhere in the css but wondering what changed as this was not a prior issue.
Dear Mark,
This should be a css issue. However, MyMobile is scheduled for termination - MDL-40874 - so I would recommend using 'Clean' or any Bootstrapbase derived theme as a replacement and solution to the problem.
Cheers,
Gareth
Thanks for sharing that as I did not know it was being terminated. Is clean theme or any other theme mobile friendly?
Mobile Device Issues:
https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-39665
The reason this is happening in 2.5 is because of the way that course 'info' and 'summary' have been changed. I don't like the way they have it now and it is not working in Clean theme either.
The reason the title shortens is because the area allotted to it is a miserly 45% (approx). If you look at the afterburner theme I changed the CSS and modified the way it displays normally. I dare say one could adapt the CSS in the MyMobile to fix this in a similar way.
I'll see if I can improve on it for you. The only problem is I don't think I will be allowed to fix Moodle 2.5 even if I could, so if there is a fix, you would need to apply it yourself to the mymobile css file.
Anyway...I'll take a look see and get back to you.
Cheers
Mary
