Looking great Mary. I especially like Treetops. Let's show what Moodle Themes can really do.

No images to show yet, But I am on a large trip next week where I want to finish a Bootstrap Moodle2 "Wood" theme. I always hated the original with a passion and want to jazz it up. Will add some photo's to this thread when Im done.

Keep up the great work Mary.

Hi...

Thanks...I like the Tree Tops one too, it's based on a free template that comes with about 5 or 6 layouts, which is great for Moodle 2+ themes as you can style different aspects of Moodle better.

I also hated the Wood theme, but at least it did give people an idea how to change the backgrounds, and was, for me at least, a theme that had potential.

In some ways, I wish we could go back to the way the themes were made in 1.9, using header.html and footer.html and letting Moodle take on the responsibility of making each Moodle element work regardless of theme. I don't see any reason it would not work, do you? In fact I think it would give theme designers a better way to style the page. Or am I being naive? 미소

Cheers

Mary

You could easily make a theme with layout/*.php files that include header.html and footer.html files if you wanted.

I do that in "Essential" as I got sick of updating multiple layout files every time I did a simple header or footer change in development 미소

You are right I could, perhaps I lack the confidence to try it! LOL
