Users cannot upload files

Hello everybody!

We faced a problem, which cannot be fixed without expert help. Some (not all, but many) users cannot upload files in a set of courses. Users see the info-message something like "You don't have access rights to this repository" (hope I translated it correct from Russian)

We don't have an idea, what this repository is and why our students don't have access rights. Earlier all files were uploaded without problems. Could you help us with this problem, please?

best regards,

Ivan

Well, the word 'repository' is a clue that you are running a version 2 but it might be more helpful to disclose exactly what specific version of 2.  And, a question, since 'repository' was something strange to you, did you recently migrate a 1.9.x to a version 2?

For some reading (understanding changes between 1.9 and 2.x):

Well, that does clarify the situation ... a bit.  But was hoping for a 'byte' in order to be more specific for suggestions as to how to fix the issue.

Otherwise, response could send you off into areas that may not related.  So ... without specific information (recently upgraded?  remotely hosted?  operating system?  Versions of MySQL PHP, running Apache or other? etc.), the following are guess (bit for a bit):

permissions on /moodledata/repository folder and subdirectories.  Those must belong to apache user/group and must be readable/writeable by user group.  IF the repo were a file system repo.

If the repository is remote ... Google ... etc. could be related to the config of that remote repo.  Google did change their API not to long ago.  It some other repo, ????

Could also be related to user role.  Did you check to see if student (role) has access to the repo?
