Hello from Athens

I was trying to upload a SCORM activity, created on ( wndows 7)  Xerte platform.
However, as you can see in the attachment, something is going wrong.

I'm using Moodle 2.4 and my e-learning site is http://learn-era.gr/moodle

Is there any idea?
Thank's

Hi Vasilis,
issues have been recently reported in the Italian Community too. The OP sent me his package, the result was that:

  1. The package was password protected, the first time he created it via  File > Package ... > SCORM 1.2
  2. Then the OP has changed some options and the package was no more password protected but with issues on the compression of some folders

It could be possible you're falling into (2).

Have you already try to unzip the package with e.g. 7-zip to check the consistency of the archive, before uploading it into Moodle?

Unfortunately Moodle is not able right now to perform some checks before importing the package, warning the user about the potential issues.

HTH,
Matteo

Hi Matteo,

I was trying to compare the imsmanifest.xml of a well-working SCORM (created by eXe) with the not- working SCORM (created by Xerte), but I don't know how to do it.

Thank you for your response

Hi Vasilis,
your Manifest file is fine: it looks like coming from Xerte's templates and it is valid.

Have you already try to uncompress the ZIP file with 7-zip to look for any compression error?

Besides, if you uncompress the ZIP file in a generic folder exposed via HTTP (e.g. create a subfolder into your Moodle wwwroot and expand the archive there) and point your browser to the main file of your package e.g. http://hostname/path/to/moodle/_testing_xerte_package/scormRLO.htm, does the content start as expected (please, ignore any alert coming from missing the LMS API adapter)?
