Hi folks,
imoot is running hot, and some of the great presentations have been on plugins. I'm not a Moodle developer, but I do help manage Moodle sites, and I'd like to be more aware of the issues involved with adding plugins to a site.
So here's my idea: Let's take Joyce Seitzinger's wonderful concept of a Moodle ToolGuide for Teachers and apply it to a similar tool for admins and managers to evaluate plugins!
Teresa Gibbison and I have made a start here, and the doc is being made available on iMoot, to encourage participants to get active. If I had my wish, when imoot ends in a couple more days, we'll have a rough out working tool, that the larger Moodle community can refine.
Once we have the elements boiled down on the Google doc, I'm proposing it be turned into a Google form, to allow for basic plugin review by novices and developers alike. I'll post a demo working form in a little while, but would love to see what the community thinks of this idea.
Over to you community :D
