ForumNG removing html tags from text

ForumNG removing html tags from text

I have set up  forum NG in Moodle 2.3.3 (ForumNG downloaded from github on 20130328).

The problem I am facing at the moment is that forumNG removes html tags such as division IDs, span class and so on from discussions and posts when the text is saved. (This does not happen when I paste the same exact html code into a standard Moodle forum and save it.)

Any ideas what is causing it and how it can be sorted out ?

P. S. Thanks to ForumNG developers. Overall its head and shoulders above the standard forum.

Surely that's casued by Admin settings, I am sure it is. Make sure you have not disabled some HTML settings for the Editor in Admin settings

Cheers

Hello Mary,

Thanks for the reply. I'm afraid it might not be the case. I have already activated trusted content in "site policies" and as I have mentioned I use html tags such as division ID and so on in the texts in the standard forum with no problem at all, but the same exact text is stripped of the html tags in forumng.

Have a good day,

Thanks for this. I already replied in a tracker issue but to put it here for others: if there are issues with ForumNG (i.e. you think it's a bug) please report in the issue tracker here:

https://github.com/moodleou/moodle-mod_forumng/issues?page=1&state=open

Then it will go to the right person and might even get fixed if you are lucky. smile (We don't necessarily fix everything, but probably most things unless there is some reason for the way it behaves.)

Thanks,
