Hi,
we are using MNET as single sign on solution for 5 moodle sites. We have got one MNET master site with local users (let's call it #1) and 5 (#2 to #6) remote moodle sites, that all are SSO with #1.
We have to subscribe users regularly to courses from #1 to the other remote instances. The problem: Even if we create cohorts, or profile fields with keywords, so that these users can be selected via a search for bulk enrolment, the actual enrolments do not support cohorts and searching for special profile attributes.
We did a workaround: Give the users a "second" first name (csv upload -> change user profiles), then search for that firstname, enrol all the users with that second firstname, change the user profiles back to their normal firstname. Disadvantage: On the remote sites, the profile stays with the fictional second firstname (ex: David Remoteuser Bogner) until the specific users logs on to the remote site.
So we want to have either (what would be easier to create as local plugin)
- search for cohorts and/or custom user profile fields for bulk enrolment
- user syncing with the remote moodle sites.
Has anyone an advice how to proceed?
Best regards,
David
