Good day,

After setting up courses I do manual back ups of them.

After Term ended, I did a manual back up of all courses.

When the next term started I needed to restore the courses from my initial back up before any students was enrolled or workshop activities was admitted.

After I did the restore, I lost both my initial- and end of term back ups and with that of course all the submitted assessments that was supposed to be kept for the next 6 months! I am in big trouble now and need help pls wide eyes

Leinq: I don't understand your post.  Of course there are others here who may.

You 'lost the backups'?  This is ambiguous.

Why did you need to restore the courses?  Do you mean reset?

Hi Derek,

I tried to reset, but the students submissions in the workshops did not reset. I read a bit in moodle docs and realised that unfortunately the Workshop plugin does not reset. Forums, assessments, etc does reset and remove previous students submissions. But not workshops. So on one of the forums I read a comment that the only way you can 'get rid' of the old submissions is to restore the course from a backup before you enrolled any students.

Hope this make more sense.

And yes, I lost all the backups. When I access my back up files, all the other courses backups are there, except this one course that I restored.

Thx
