We're using Moodle 2.3 & darkb theme : the horizontal scrollbar is not present in some pages (grades result particulary) ... any idea ? what should I change in my css ?

Are you using the latest version? My guess is you are using an older version, try upgrading and clearing the moodle cache.
this was something that happened in a lot of themes recently. if you have a custom css box you'll need to add a overflow:scroll rule for the table
