Frontpage editing

HI

We are using version 1.9.19 so maybe that's too old to get any support at this stage? But just in case anybody can advise...

A colleague was editing the main panel last night and added some links to courses. Unfortunately whatever he did has deleted (or moved out of sight) the editing icons for the panel. When I click on Turnd Editing on button the top editing icon appears but the ones for the lower section do not. So I can't delete what he added or do anything that might cause the editing icons to re-appear in the lower section. Can anybody help?

Our url is moodle.csisdmz.ul.i

Thanks

Hi there. I think the reason is that someone has pasted from Word into your front page and that has corrupted it. Take a look here for example http://www.moodleblog.net/2009/12/21/help-i-cant-edit-my-moodle-topic-summary-the-edit-icons-stuck/ or if not then here http://www.moodleblog.net/2009/08/17/help-i-lost-my-editing-icon-and-the-labels-broken-my-moodle/

Just to let folks know the problem has been resolved. Somebody had copied a large amount of text into the panel and that had 'pushed' the editing icons down. Deleting the text allowed the icons to be seen again.
