video linking - do not want to see video window.

Hi,

 

I'm using Moodle 1.9.19.  I want to be able to allow my class to view curriculum based videos.  I only want the link to be seen.  What happens is that the link turns into the video screen.  I have tried using labels and a new web page.  Is there a way just for the link description to be seen and when clicked the video windows appears.
