I am the admin of a large moodle (2.4)
I frequently get nuisance messages that I want to just ignore, but they keep popping up when I click ignore. Moodle requires me to eventually open them and read them before they stop nagging me.
Since I get so many messages, it is very difficult to work on a task when messages just popup all the time from users. Of course, some users I DO want to receive messages from, but the majority of users have less priority, and I only want to read them when I have time.
I don't necessarily want to block senders permanently, I just want the popup to go away when I click ignore, so I don't have to exit the screen I am working on to read the message so that it stops popping up. I think a good fix would be to be able to ignore roles, such as ignoring all students, or teachers, etc.
So, is there some method to make "ignore" work permanently until a time in the future when I can read all messages together?
