Do you think it would be good to collect useful MySQL scripts on a particular page on MoodleDocs? I am not sure MySQL code belongs on a regular documentation page, but then again a page of scripts on various topics might not be that useful. I am asking this questions because I just ran a script on my site to update quiz question names and I would like to share, but would like guidance on the best place.
Hi Colin,
Thanks for your offer of sharing MySQL scripts, which I think others will find useful. How about making a start here: http://docs.moodle.org/24/en/MySQL_scripts, mentioning also about backing up your database before trying any MySQL stuff!
A word of caution: http://docs.moodle.org/XY/en/ kind of link means that /XY/ is an independent wiki. Currently there are five of them: /19/, /20/, /21/, /22/, /23/ and /24/. Read "Moodle documentation: How to subscribe to multiple categories" https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=200288.
A work around would be the /dev/ wiki. See for example "Moodle documentation: "Non-Version" documentation pages" https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=205117#p895020.
